Rift Runner

Rift Runner is a solo journaling RPG that aims for the player to craft fascinating stories of exploration and conflict.  To play all you need is a deck of standard playing cards, two six-sided dice, a journal, something to write with, and a token to represent where you are in the world.

The World:

Centuries ago, the world was connected and whole with six prosperous kingdoms. Then suddenly massive fissures began to erupt across the land releasing corrupted void spirits referred to as Terrors. The world is now broken, and kingdoms are isolated as these Terrors roam the realm. 

You are a Rift Runner a highly skilled courier tasked with delivering offerings and communications between these hidden kingdoms.

• Print-at-home tri-fold PDF  which contains all the game's mechanics, rolling tables, and a character sheet.

• Unique Map Making System which uses playing cards and dice rolls to allow you to build an ever-expanding map.

• Four tables including Action, Theme, Region, and Characters. 

• A "Yes/No" question oracle mechanic.

• Seven action moves to add interesting gameplay and story events.

• Original enemies called Terrors with boss-fight-like battles.
